In the end

So many things have happened since my last post in April. I can't say that I feel much better about myself, but I think we can all safely say that it won't change easily.

Taryn has moved on, she's moving in with her new guy soon. She's working at a mental hospital now, doing very well for herself. I'm happy about that, she deserved a break and definately deserves happiness.

Bianca now works for one of my work's suppliers, been there for quite a bit (since May methinx). She has been very unhappy there, people are treated even worse than here at Barrick. Yesterday morning, she was moved from one account manager to the someone else, and she's very happy with the move. Her boss was a lesbian woman, with SEVERE PMS. Her new boss is a Lebanese - Not great either, but at least it's a guy. Guys don't get PMS.

I'm resigning in the next day or two, found a job at a Capetown based company. They're opening offices in Johannesburg, and I'll be the senior network administrator. It's an IT consulting company, and I will be responsible for setting up and maintaining their JHB client base's network infrastructure. Very exciting stuff, getting out of the office and seeing more of the outside world. I haven't done that since my time with the security company in 1997-1999

It's a big move though, I've been here for 9 years odd, it's actually quite a scary thought to leave the familiar and step into so many unknowns!

Battling with cash, things have been breaking all over the place, and it's gotten impossible for me to cope with the financial implications. In May, I helped Bianca buy a car, a little Uno for R15,000. Problem was, I didn't have R15,000

Now I have it even less, and with all the things going wrong, my credit card is in bad bad shape.

At least I have a few private jobs now and again, and that helps to pay the bills :)

Random thought: Look at me, I'm chasing after dreams left in the stars
