Scum

There are times when I wonder if anything in this world is easy.

When I learned how to drive, that was tough. But lots of things are tough when you are 7 years old. Now, driving is a breeze. It’s fun, easy, enjoyable and I’m quite good at it.

Then you get the traffic, which removes the fun. Johannesburg has the worst traffic of any city in the world. Why you may ask? We don’t have public transport in South Africa, because the government didn’t think it was necessary. And Johannesburg is one of the largest cities in the world. Lotsa people, bad roads, no public transport = a shitload of cars.

So I always work a bit late, surfing the net as I kill time until the traffic has calmed down. Which, quite frankly, is also crap. Why? Because South Africa is an underdeveloped country. And thanks to the government, who thought it appropriate to have only one national telecommunications company, didn’t think (as always). So surfing the net is both pricy, and a SERIOUS waste of time, since you wait for every click. 10 minutes long sometimes.

But I digress.

I’m feeling a tad sick today, a slight fever and some snot flowing freely. I myself, however, am feeling good. Things are happening slowly but surely. Business ventures are looking up, job is going okay, and my music is getting back on track. I have hot women flirting with me, good people wanting to spend time with me, and so forth. Now what man in his right mind wouldn’t like that?

Oh damnit I’m bored.

Random thought of the day: Here there’s no work of play, only one bill to pay.
