Easter Weekend Rundown

Well, where does one start?

Friday, my motor just refused to start! I couldn’t even get myself off the couch! Yet, I ended up sorting through my piles of paper at home (you know, bills, legal documents, etc) and finally putting them into the filing cabinet under categories where they actually belong. Then I fixed up Hein’s PC, after which I cleared some crap out of the garage. Several other random things too, but I fail to remember them all.

Yet, I felt like I did nothing with my day!

Saturday, I fixed my OWN PC, for some strange reason, Windows decided it doesn’t want to work anymore *shrug*, so I reloaded that.

Then I stripped out the two bathroom cabinets, and proceeded to sand them down. They were this awful dirty pink colour, and I couldn’t stand it anymore! So a coat of nice slightly off-white paint went on. Now those in the know, would agree that acrylic takes some time to dry. So I propped the bathroom basin up using a guitar stand so that the ritualistic teeth brushing could still commence, and obviously a spot to wash hands would be a good thing too. Now this occupied the entire day! How so? Slept until 11, that’s how.

Sunday, the one cabinet was ready and went back in, while the other needed more coats, and the doors needed more sanding, because the bloody paint dripped in places.

So there’s another day…

Then yesterday, we drove a bit, assembled a bit, got some random stuff, made some nice lunch, etc etc

Then at 13:00, I finally entered the new rehearsal room. YEAH BABY! It was fantabulous, I’ll tell ya this much. We jammed until around 19:30 or so, my legs feel like I’ve jogged the comrades, my stomach feels like a million crunches have been done, and I feel hulluva relaxed. Damn I’ve missed playing!

Oh, and we joined the Gym on Saturday. Gotta sign some documents tonight, and then we can start exercising again. I really need to get in shape, and I don’t mean round like I currently am…
